Sugarloaf trail offers a woodland and lakeside hike.

Sugarloaf Trail is a pleasant hike through a shallow forest of hardwoods and then along side the lake. Shoreline fishing is offered from the trail and access to the Brumbaugh Dam is also attainable. You will see the swimming beach and ball field from the shore and possibly waterfowl. The trail is only .5 mile long.

Directions: From Hollidaysburg, PA, Travel east on US 22 for 7 miles until you arrive at the small village of Canoe Creek. Turn north on the Turkey Valley Road for .5 mile to the main park entrance road. Travel past the park office to the Picnic Shelter No. 1 / boat launch area. Park in the boat launch area and walk back up the road a short distance heading south and crossing the small embankment to reach the circular Sugarloaf Trail.

Elevation Gain: Minimal

Distance: 0.5 miles

Difficulty: Easy
