This is a beautiful walk that extends from the lower portion of Laurel Lake to Grassy Creek.

This red-blazed trail takes its name for the creek it follows. The trail starts off on an easy path and becomes rather difficult the last half mile. This is a beautiful walk that extends from the lower portion of Laurel Lake to Grassy Creek. Rhododendron are lush in this area and reward the May-June hiker with gorgeous showy pink blooms. The length of the trail is 1.25 miles.

Directions: From Haysi, VA, Breaks Interstate Park is 7 miles east of Elkhorn City, Kentucky and 8 miles north of Haysi, Virginia on Rt. 80. Detailed trail maps are available at park office.
