South Trail is a multi-use trail for 3 miles then a foot path for the remaining 1 mile which may be combined with North Trail to form a loop.

This is the park's easiest trail. Much of the path is smooth and fairly easy to negotiate. Three miles of the trail are available to hikers and equestrians. Access for horses is available just after passing from State Game Land property onto State Park property. From this point, the trail travels approximately 3 miles before turning into a foot path. The trail is yellow blazed and for the first 3 miles, it divides the hunting land from the non-hunting land. The far end of the trail, which is strictly for hikers, is the lower end of what can be a loop with North Trail. Indian Trail bisects North and South Trails.

Directions: From Tannersville, PA, Take I-80 and exit at Exit 45 or Exit 44. If you exit at #44 travel west on Camelback Road to the ski resort. If you exit at #45 travel east a very short distance on SR 715 turning left onto Camelback Road and following it past the ski resort and into the developed park area. Take the circular Rim Road either right or left and park in the end loop parking area. Trail begins at northern end of lot. Shortly it divides into three trails with South Trail bearing right.
