Lake Shore Trail is 5 miles long and considered a moderate hike. The flattest trail in the park, this trail parallels the lake into the upper part of the park. A wide variety of birds and animals can be viewed from the trail if you travel quietly. Sections of the following trails are very steep. These trails require a person to be in good physical condition.

Directions: From Waterville, PA, Take SR 4001 approximately 4 miles to the state park. You may access the trail by the dam which is located by the entrance or you may stay on the main park road traveling past the lake and paralleling Little Pine Creek to reach a parking lot on the right side of the road. You may access the trail there. If you reach the shooting range, you have traveled too far.
