- You'll have little shade on this trail, so hike early in the morning or late in the afternoon and bring more water than you think you'll need. Wear a swimsuit so you can dip into the sea at Blue Cobblestone Beach, and bring your own gear if you want to snorkel.
- The trailhead is on the east end of Salt Pond, and cactus grows abundantly along the sides of the rocky path. Wear sneakers to protect your feet from thorns and loose rubble.
- Spend some time at Salt Pond either before or after you hike Ram Head. It is a peaceful, uncrowded, lovely area.
Allow about 45 minutes to an hour to hike the trail at a leisurely pace. The trail ends at Blue Cobblestone Beach, so named because of the blue-tinged rocks lining the waterfront. Don't miss climbing the hill at the south end of the beach to see the
