Van Buren State Park lies in the rich agricultural plains of northwest Ohio offering an excursion to thin woodland and a small 45-acre lake. Hikers, picnickers, and anglers find quiet atmosphere and pleasant scenery. Several trails are located on the south side of the lake while a scenic two-mile hike is offered around the lake's perimeter.
Trailblazers are invited to use the trails for cross-country skiing during times of snow cover.
Directions: From North Baltimore & Findley, OH, Travel Interstate 75 to State Route 613. Head east to reach park entrance. Trails are easily accessed from the day use and campground areas.
