A network of trails aid visitors in their exploration of the park. The trails connect the lakeshore with each of the four camping areas, transecting meadows, woodlands and wetlands. Bird watchers will find Bluebird Trail delightful. Re-introduction of these songbirds has been very successful at Delaware State Park. Stealth hikers have a better than normal chance of observing the small meadowland bird just prior to dusk. Look for them perched on sturdy field grass or fence posts.
Wintertime affords cross-country skiers an opportunity to enjoy flat, scenic terrain.
