Lonesome Pond Loop is a short trail around an isolated spring-fed lake. Here one can truly feel the tranquility of solitude within several hundred yards of the parking lot. The work of beavers is readily apparent all around Lonesome Pond, from the lodge on the south bank, to the cut and stripped saplings below the banks of the pond.

All trails in Tinker's Creek are seasonally wet with mosquitoes and deer flies being particularly pesky in summer. Insect repellent along with appropriate hiking shoes and apparel is advised.

Directions: From Aurora, OH, Immediately southwest of Aurora travel to the junction of State Routes 82 and 43. Proceed south on SR 43 approximately 1 mile to Hudson-Aurora Road. Follow Hudson-Aurora Road 2 miles southwest, then 2 miles west on Old Mill Road. The preserve is adjacent to the railroad tracks.
