The trailhead is located in a parking lot situated at the north end of Township Road 189. The hike heads north into an expansive meadow. Turn right at the first trail junction, then another right at the next trail junction. The wide path makes an ascension into a woodland with sights of several ponds. Notice the beautiful stand of white pine. Near the bottom of the ridge, Lakeside Trail (0.5-mile) slices east between two ponds. These are Forest's largest ponds. Anglers can be found fishing from shore. Lakeside Trail wraps south below the third pond re-entering Lakeview Trail which carries you back to the parking lot. Equestrians welcome!
