The trailhead is located in the parking lot at the north end of Township Road 189. The hike heads north into an expansive meadow. Turn right at the first trail junction. Hilltop Trail continues along an eastern edge of this lovely meadow then ascends toward the ridge. The meadow is a good place for viewing Ohio's lovely meadowlark and red-winged blackbird. Hawks can be seen soaring above the fields in search of rodents and rabbits. Pass another trail junction (Lakeview Trail) and continue north. From the meadow's hilltop you'll be able to see sweeping views of Harrison County. Retrace steps back to parking lot or venture onto the other trails found within the trail system. Equestrians welcome!
