This trail provides a spectacular view of the tristate area from an observation deck atop Rabun Bald, Georgia's second highest point. The deck was constructed form the remnants of the old fire tower built in the 1930's. One of Georgia's rarest birds, the raven, is frequently sighted. The ascent is extremely steep.
Directions: From Clayton, Take Warwoman Road 10 miles and turn on Forest Service Road 7 (Hale Ridge Road). Proceed 5.6 miles to the trail marker on the left.
