The Turtletown Creek Trail #158 is an easy to moderate 3.76 mile loop. This loop trail follow Turtletown Creek and loops back to Shinbone Ridge. It has scenic views of the Hiwassee River in addition to overlooks of two major waterfalls. This trail also has a spur trail that leads to FDR #1166 for an extended hike back to the parking lot.

Directions: From Tellico Plains, Travel south on Hwy. 68. After passing the Farner Post Office, travel south for 0.2 miles and turn right. Cross railroad tracks and bear to the left on all paved roads for about 0.9 miles to the junction of FDR #1166 (there is a sign here for the Turtletown Scenic Area.) Turn tight and follow FDR #1166 for 0.9 miles to the junction of 11651 (only left turn off this road.) and turn left. Travel approximately 0.5 miles tot he trailhead parking lot.
