The Elizabethan Gardens are the site of the first English Colony in the New World. The site features mid-twentieth century re-creation of an Elizabethan garden in the Renaissance Style. Visitors to the grounds can see over 500 different plant species, period furniture, English portraits, and ancient garden ornaments, and Italian statues and fountains.
