  • Climb away from the valley to make several views, the first being at 2.9 miles, then make Reconnoiter Rock, which has a spectacular view.
  • Persistence pays off for those who want to top out on the crest of Peekamoose Mountain: Hike 3.4 miles to get to the peak at 3,840 feet.
  • For those who want to hike the trail in its entirety, it's seven rugged and beautiful miles. Trailheads are located at both ends of the path to avoid a there-and-back of 14 miles.
