Parks and OutdoorsExpert Tips & Helpful Hints
  • Hike part of this 14-mile trail from Stony Clove Campground, which makes a nice base camp.
  • The path leaves the campground and passes the Devils Tombstone then heads to the top of Plateau Mountain after three miles, a good turn-around point.
  • Serious hikers can continue on and connect to numerous other trails or stay on the crest and summit other mountains.

Drive west on NY23A to NY16. Turn left onto NY16, continue six miles, and turn right on Prediger Rd.
