  • Valle Grande is a 176-square-mile caldera formed when a series of volcanoes sucked several 14,000-foot peaks into the ground. Today, one of the largest craters on earth, it's a gorgeous grassy, wildflowerd mountain meadow with a 9,000-foot rim.
