From Alton to Belmont along SR 140 the road travels past Crystal Lake and Page State Forest.
Holderness to the town of South Tamworth runs SR 113. This route is located just north of Lake Winnipesaukee Area. One of the most popular stopping areas is West Rattlesnake Mountain Natural Area which offers Old Bridle Path Trail in addition to the great fishing waters on Squam Lake.
This absolutely beautiful route travels from Bristol north on SR 3A along the banks of Newfound Lake up to Hebron where several trails and Hebron Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary are located.
Milton Mills follows Branch Road to SR 125 and swings north to Union and into Sanbornville where Lovell Lake may be found. Enroute is a smaller lake than Lovell and several swift streams.

Elevation Gain: Minimal
Directions: From Moultonborough, NH, Many of the scenic drives weave around the Lake Winnipesaukee area traveling between small towns and recreation designations. The Milton Mills area is located off SR 125 about 20 miles east of Lake Winnipesaukee.
