This one-of-a-kind kayak adventure on a placid section of the Colorado River starts near the base of mighty Hoover Dam, where 726 feet of concrete tower above the muted river. Tight access restrictions prevent casual visitors from exploring the river here, but Boulder City Outfitters guests jump into two-person kayaks to follow the river down through the Black Canyon. On the gentle 12-mile trip, you'll pass waterfalls and steep ravines along the river, stopping at hidden slot canyons and natural hot springs. Prior paddling experience is not required.
