The picturesque Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is approximately 10,000 years old, 20 miles long, 1000 ft deep, and 2500 ft wide. Hiking trails and observation points along both rims of the canyon provide ample opportunities to view it, and the canyon appears painted with deeps reds oranges and coppers, making a popular subject for paintings. Two waterfalls, one above the other, cascade into the golden walls of the Canyon.
