Choctaw Lake offers 21 campsites with water and electricity, hot showers and is a good recreation destination and base camp for the Noxubee Hills trail system, which is popular with hikers and mountain bikers.
The lake itself offers fishing for bass and bring and a quiet atmosphere, as this is a "no gas motors" lake. A swimming area makes for a good place to cool off on a hot day.
The Headwaters Trail and the Lakeside Trail are two nearby paths that travel along the waters and hills of the area.
