• Hike at one of the four Mississippi state parks developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps. In addition to the trail system, many other impressive works still remain from the CCC days, including the park lodge, which is in sight of the trailhead. Today, the lodge is used for business meetings, church functions and family gatherings.
• Stay at the park campground, which is suitable for tents and RVs. It has a fine bathhouse.
• The park is just a short distance away from the historic downtown of Louisville, which is worth a visit itself.
