FamilyExpert Tips & Helpful Hints
  • Some of the stops along the way are free to the public, but others require you to pay an additional admission fee. Ask about package deals to save on tickets.
  • Tours depart frequently, but not at any specific time. Show up, purchase your ticket, and wait for the next available carriage.
  • Ask ahead how long you'll have to linger at each stop. At some locations you can stay as long as you like and transfer carriages later, but others, like Arch Rock, are brief stops and you must stay with the same group.
Nearly two hours is a long time for some children to sit still, so you may want to set up a private trip that better meets your family's needs. Visit the ticket office the same day you'd like to take the tour to make arrangements for a customized excursion.
