• Acuario Mazatlan is an aquarium with more than 300 species, plus a small zoo and botanical garden. It's located between downtown and Zona Dorada (the Golden Zone), just off the Malecon, the paved walkway that runs for miles along the city's shoreline.
• The highlights here are the shows. There's a seal show, bird show, and diver exhibition during which divers enter one of the aquarium's large tanks. If you sit in front for the seal show your kids just might get kissed by one of the thespian pinnipeds.
• Plan on about three hours. This is one of Latin America's top aquariums and the largest aquarium in Mexico.
