  • Go to the zip lines early in the day or around lunch. Peak times, from 10 a.m. to noon and in the early afternoon, can bring long lines.
  • Those with asthma (or just a general aversion to exhaust fumes) should skip the amphibious vehicles.
  • If adventure parks are your thing, think about buying the multiday pass that includes the Xcaret cultural park (think Mayan dances and jaguar enclosures) and Xel-Ha (a park built around a lagoon teeming with marine life).
