A former slave trader named Mundaca built this sprawling hacienda in an attempt to woo a local woman. She refused his advances and Mundaca spent the rest of his life as a recluse and eccentric. Visits to the decaying estate reveal faint glimmers of its former grandeur, as well as some leafy pathways and a small zoo.
