That's the philosophy of this company that offers a range of eco-oriented tours around the Puerto Vallarta area, many of them great for families. For the Sea Turtle Camp and Crocodile Adventure they invite families to become conservationists for a day, or more specifically, an evening. Participants visit El Quelele, a marshy lagoon where American crocodiles are protected. After that, it's off to the beach to help release Olive Ridley sea turtle hatchlings. On the Whale Research Adventure, biologists lead the tour and provide a wealth of information about humpback whales. Biologists lead tours to see dolphins, too, and one trip includes a snorkel afterward at Los Arcos, one of Puerto Vallarta's most popular snorkel sites. There are birding, kayaking, hiking, and snorkeling tours on which families can go together. This group offers more than typical guided trips. Not only are many tours led by biologists, often boat crews are from local fishing families, so that tourism is working to support and sustain the whole local environment, animals, and humans.
