Ixtapa Island features four beaches including the popular Playa Cuachalalate and Morro Colorado, where many go for swimming and snorkeling. There you can jetski, snorkel, scubadive, and go parasailing. The island is also home to many exotic tropical fish and birds.

Transportation: Isla Ixtapa is accessible by small boats (pangas) that currently ferry passengers between it and the pier at Playa Quieta in Ixtapa. Boats are also available from the Zihuatanejo Municipal pier.
