The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, which opened in 2002 and is housed in a 44,000 sq. ft contemporary building, preserves and exhibits picture book art from around the world. The Museum's exhibits feature the work of Eric Carle as well as the art of other renowned picture book artists. In addition, the Museum features weekly storytimes for children, and presents lectures, painting workshops, teacher training, outreach programs, and other events.
