On 15 acres of land in the Berkshire Mountains, the Berkshire Botanical Garden stays open until mid-October with displays of indigenous plants, some 3,000 species in all. Classes and educational programs, including the area's longest-running Harvest Festival, give would-be gardeners and leaf peepers plenty of insight into area flora.
