• Take a drive up the Natchez Trace parkway to Owens Creek Falls, located at mile 52 on the parkway.
• The Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail leaves the parkway and travels past Owens Creek Falls to a small picnic area, then reaches a tributary falls, dropping 15 feet into a pool. The trail heads in both directions from the parkway for extended hikes.
• Owens Creeks Falls drops into an amphitheater over a rock overhang. Sand gathers at the bottom of the pool. The base of the falls will be cooler in summer due to the waterfall cooling the air. This was a landmark for early Natchez Trace travelers, and is a stopping point for modern Parkway drivers and hikers.
