• The Buckskin Trail is the greater Cave Run Lake area, and is part of a large trail network that makes loop day hikes and overnight backpacks possible.
• Zilpo Campground is a good jumping-off point for this trail that winds along the shores of Cave Run Lake, dipping into moist hollows divided by hardwood ridges.
• The trail extends for ten miles and connects to Clear Creek Recreation Area via the Sheltowee Trace. Other important area trails are Cave Run and the Connector Trail. A Cave Run Lake map really proves useful.
