Parque Nacional Marino Isla Bastimentos (Bastimentos Island National Marine Park) covers more than 32,000 acres of land and sea. It features the Marine Park, located in the center of the island, and Long Beach, on the north end of the island, where marine turtles come to nest from April to October. At the Zapatillas Keys, visitors can snorkel, dive, or swim in the clear waters, and the mangrove islets region in the south of the park, is an excellent place to tour by boat or snorkel amidst the mangrove roots.
