Local legend says this rock pinnacle off the Kusapin Peninsula got its name from a puma that was washed onto the rock during a storm and lived there for a while feeding on seabirds. While the mythic puma is now gone, visiting divers can still see large predators under the water: Reef, bull and nurse sharks sometimes cruise alongside grouper and snapper. This site is only accessible in September and October, but during that time has some of the best visibility in the archipelago, around 100 feet.
