Agadir's most popular and happening nightclub for both travelers and locals is Papagayo, located within the oceanside Hotel Riu Tikida Beach. Recently refurbished, Papagayo is large, cavernous, and multilevel, with a number of bars and video screens. During the summer months, partiers show up after midnight to groove the A.M. away (you'll sometimes see the bleary-eyed watching the sun rise on the nearby beach). It is pricey and the crowd can be a little too dressed up for a beachside holiday town, but it's always a party with resident and European DJs pumping out a popular mix of the latest Arabic and Western tunes.
