- Guided tours with transportation from Negril are available, but if you prefer to go on your own, follow signs for the park from the parish capital of Savanna-la-Mar down a potholed road toward Petersfield.
- Buy a legitimate ticket and hire an official guide at the office housed in a blue-trimmed yellow plantation house on the estate. Decline offers made by the "unofficial guides" outside the entrance.
- Plan to take a dip in the natural swimming pool at nearby Blue Hole Garden, a private property about a half mile away that features landscaped grounds around a pool of deep-blue spring water.
The park is set on the grounds of a former plantation and is home to the Roaring River, an underground channel that emerges in a flowery meadow. The nearby Roaring River Cave is carved into a cliff, and guides lead visitors into lighted limestone
