At one time little more than a beach shack clinging to the lip of the West End cliffs, Rick's Café has evolved into one of the Caribbean's most popular scenes for sunsets and more. Through the day, buffed Jamaican divers spring from the cliff-edge or from the branches of swaying casuarina trees, plunging into the crystal water below. The bar's Pool 'n Ocean Club lures gorgeous young things for sunning and preening on loungers or cabanas, while couples dare each other to dive off the cliff. By sunset, the joint is packed from end to end with hundreds of people bidding adieu to the day. After dusk, a band jams and guests can dine under the stars.
