One of the island's most picturesque beaches, Cabbage has a split personality. On its north side are busy hotels and restaurants. Here, sportslovers can waterski, sail, and parasail. Eastward, the city's sights and sounds gradually fade until there's nothing but clear tropical water, sandy shore, and a handful of boats coasting out to sea. A few blocks south, you'll find one of the most visited sites in Nassau: beautiful Versailles Garden. The garden's statues—set among perfectly sculpted trees, bushes, and plants—date back to the 12th century.
