Beautiful Half Moon Bay on Antigua's southeastern coast is perhaps one of the most photographed beaches on the island. The sand is a pleasant rosy pink and at the far end of the beach a coral reef protects the water, snorkelers, and swimmers from rough waves. The shore stretches nearly a mile around the curved bay, and beyond the reef windsurfers take on the Atlantic surf.

  • The surf can be rather rough here because the beach faces the open ocean; however, the northern end is partly sheltered by a coral reef, and is best for swimming and snorkeling.
