Asa Wright Nature Centre & Lodge is a 200-acre nature center that offers trails for hiking and some of Trinidad's best birding. Species on the island include 97 native mammals, 400 birds, 55 reptiles, 25 amphibians, and 617 butterflies, as well as over 2,200 species of flowering plants. A small 24-room lodge accompanies the centre.
