This famous palm-lined beach usually ranks as Tobago's best, and it should be one any beach lover's list. Also known as Pigeon Point Heritage Park, you may have seen its thatched-roof jetty that pops up on tourist brochures and Web sites as the classic symbol of Tobago. You'll find everything here for an ideal day at the beach: beach-chair rentals, showers, bathrooms, food kiosks, crafts shops, souvenir stands, a diving concession, paddleboat rentals, changing rooms in thatched shelters, picnic tables, bars, and a restaurant. The beach is public, but to reach it you must go through a former coconut estate, which charges a small fee. Pigeon Point is also the jumping-off point for snorkeling cruises to the excellent Buccoo Reef.
