This casual eatery leaning right over the ocean has a lot going for it. First of all, it's actually located inside of a tree house on stilts, and birds from the surrounding 200-year-old almond tree come and swoop in on any unattended plates. Second, the Tobagonian meals, fused with Creole, French, and international flavors, are fresh and yummy. Third, the place is full of down-home atmosphere: There are no menus; the smiling waitresses simply tell you what's being served on any given day—usually fresh rice, veggies, and fish or meats like curried lamb, grilled kingfish, lamb chops, or lobster thermidor. The eatery is located a short stroll north of the hamlet of Speyside on Tobago's northeastern coast. It's a fun and funky dining experience that never fails to please.
