Mosquito Bay is one of the brightest recorded bioluminescent bays in the world. Organisms named Pyrodinium bahamense, Dinoflagellates (dinos), which create the bioluminescence phenomenon, live in the waters of Mosquito Bay. The Bay's shallow waters, where visitors can enjoy a night swim, are surrounded by mangrove trees.
