Bargain hunters should hit up the TKTS Discount Booths in Times Square at 47th Street and Broadway, at South Street Seaport, and in downtown Brooklyn. Tickets to Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays sell for up to 50 percent off. As a last resort, many last-minute tickets can be found through scalpers, who typically sell outside the theater —although these tickets generally cost more than face value.
