Sure, you've heard of Sting Ray City, the sandbar where hundreds of cruise-ship passengers wade into an open-water petting zoo. Alternately, a more romantic tour is through the island's protected Central Mangrove Wetland. It's offered by Cayman Kayaks, operating out of SafeHaven in groups of less than a dozen. Using kayaks built for two, tours are conducted during the day as well as at sunset (sundowner included). While paddling, you'll learn about the mangrove ecosystem and may spot upside-down jellyfish, white egrets, and kingfishers.
