The folks at Maplewood swear a trip to their five rural acres is good, clean fun for kids from "0 to 110," and they're right: You're never too young or too old to appreciate the inner workings of farm life. This pastoral setting is home to more than 200 birds and animals. Perhaps the most famous are Snicklefritz and Gorby, Shetland ponies that offer up rides for very special occasions. Of course, all of the farm's friendly residents deserve equal attention. Petunia the pot-bellied pig came to Maplewood at only 11 weeks old. And though she appears disapproving, Phyllis the Polish crested hen only shakes her head to blow that cotton ball topknot away from her eyes. Guests can feed the chickens, ducks, and bunnies, or watch the sweet piggies eating an early lunch—chow time is 11:30 a.m.
