Trailhead Location: North end of the Lewis Lake parking lot (unmarked) in Sugarloaf Recreation Area.
Legal Description: T. 16N., R. 79W
General Information: The trail follows a gentle grade past several high mountain lakes. Hikers are encouraged to stay on the east side of South Gap Lake. The more direct and easy route on the west side leads under the dangerous cornices of Medicine Bow Peak. This trail is for foot use only. The trail junctions with Sheep Lake Trail #389 at the north end. The trail is not suitable for pack stock.
Directions: From Centennial, Travel 12 miles northwest on State Highway 130 to Sugarloaf Recreation Area.
Elevation: 11,000 feet
Elevation Gain: 700 feet
Distance: 4 miles
Usage: Light
Difficulty: Strenuous
