  • It's big, it's brash, and it's impossible to miss where the main thoroughfare crosses the Wisconsin River into the downtown drag. The amusement park's centerpiece is a hybrid wooden-steel roller coaster that whiplashes around 90-degree turns and 70-degree drops. More sedate rides include a log flume and toddler-friendly bumper boats.
  • An all-day pass gives you access to four separate 18-hole mini-golf courses, plus the bumper boats and log flume, and five complimentary rides on the Avalanche coaster. Kids younger than five golf for free (though odds are that any hyperactive four-year-old won't last more than about nine to 12 holes of putt-putt).
