Unlike the town's popular Ducks tours, which rumble far too quickly through the more scenic corners of the Dells, a horse-drawn-carriage tour gives you a better chance to appreciate the natural beauty of the area's ancient gullies and glades. You'll also actually be able to hear your guide's explanation of the various points of interest absent the roar of a belching diesel engine.
Another plus point over the mechanized Ducks tours? It's about a third of the price, plus the Lost Canyon HQ has a small beach area on the shore of Lake Delton, where you can picnic and swim after the ride.
