The open prairie of Turkey Vulture Trail provides plenty of opportunity to view the trail's namesake.

Located south of Roche-A-Cri Mound off Acorn Trail, Turkey Vulture Trail makes a 0.9-mile loop re-entering Acorn Trail. It explores several types of habitat including Carter Creek basin consisting of hardwoods and conifers. In addition, open prairie provides plenty of opportunity to view the trail's namesake, turkey vulture.

Directions: From Friendship, WI, Travel north a short distance on Hwy. 13. Turn left (west) on Czech Road before reaching the park entrance. A short distance down Czech Road is trailhead parking. Hike northbound on Acorn Trail.

Elevation: 900 feet

Elevation Gain: Minimal

Distance: 0.9 miles

Difficulty: Easy
