South Trail is 1 mile in length following an abandoned jeep road through old growth forest and a bog from the boat harbor at the south end of the island to the lighthouse. Due to the harsh conditions at Devils Island visitors will see sights of virgin boreal forest species such as paper birch and balsam fir. The lighthouse at Devils Island was the final jewel in the necklace of lights around the archipelago. It was first lit in 1891.
West Landing Trail extends half a mile linking the boat landing at a rocky ledge on the northwest corner of the island with the historic lighthouse.
East Landing Trail is a path from the lighthouse to a rock ledge on the northeast corner of the island. The trail is a mere half-mile offering lake and island views.
